to tell us what it community is doing doing to help catch the fire bug. >> reporter: a few hours ago there were 50 people here, some came to pick up smoke alarms, others passed around fliers to keep people safe. >> reporter: as the number of fires in san jose gets bigger the arsonist is getting bolder. new surveillance video showing a man near a fire this morning. he fits the description of the person of interest people are looking for. tall and skinny with baggy clothes. two other fires broke out hours earlier. >> freaky. >> a guy keeps doing this to different homes. >> with 13 fires total, 11 confirmed arson. these folks had enough. they are canvassing neighborhoods spreading the word about the serial

>> we will try to stay up as much as i can. >> we have to be vigilant and look out for one another. we are a community. we look out for each other, we can get through this. >> reporter: there is a limited number of the smoke alarms left but you can find them at any hardware store and if you see the arsonist over night, police say don't approach him, just call 911. live in san jose, cristina rendon, ktvu channel 2 news. investigators plan to start looking for the cause of a deadly house fire on friday. the investigation was delayed because officials wanted to let the structure cool. firefighters found the bodies of two inside the home. they have not released their names but a man in his 50s lived in the home with a care giver. the owners of a gold shop were arrested for shooting a rifle inside their store near a

toddler. sheriff's deputies responded to reports of multiple shots at we buy gold. the door was locked when they arrived but they saw four men and a child inside. a rifle and a shotgun were fired. the boy was returned to his mother. the 23-year-old and 34-year-old were arrested. the other two men were let go. vote by officials is expected to spell out how school districts can spend money. a key issue is how much control local school boards will have over how the money is spent. $18billion is expected to be allocated in soming years -- coming years. the state board of education is expected to take up the matter thursday. an old fashion answer to a

50% of people hospitalized for flu this season are obese. researchers say in other years the percentage of obese people hospitalized was 30%. this season is harder on pregnant women as well. centers for disease control and prevention shows 22% of hospitalized patients are pregnant. experts say the most important thing you can do is to be vaccinated. single cup of coffee may help your memory is the result of a study done. researchers show test suggests say pictures gave them a dose of coffee. day later the test subjects did a better job at recognizing the images. researchers say drinking too much coffee may not be as beneficial as a single cup.

here's the problem with teleportation. lay it on me. assuming a device could be invented which would identify the quantum state of matter of an individual in one location and transmit that pattern to a distant location for reassembly, you would not have actually transported the individual. you would have destroyed him in one location and recreated him in another. how about that? personally, i would never use a transporter, because the original sheldon would have to be disintegrated in order to create a new sheldon.
